Pre-launch privacy information
Information the platform may hold
Depending on how you use SkillNord, the service is designed to handle:
- account and sign-in information, including your email and authentication records;
- profile information you choose to provide, such as your name and language;
- enrolments, saved programmes and item-level learning progress;
- quiz attempts, assessment results, assignment submissions and feedback;
- orders, payment status and transaction references when paid learning is enabled;
- credential records, including a public verification code and credential status;
- support messages, security events and technical information needed to operate the service.
- a custom-programme brief, including your contact details, organisation if applicable, topic, goals, intended audience, language needs and optional budget, timeframe or existing-material description;
The exact information collected should match the features that are active. SkillNord should not ask for information that is not needed for the stated purpose.
Why this information is used
The platform is designed to use personal information to:
- create and secure your account;
- provide enrolment, learning, progress and assessment features;
- process and reconcile purchases when commerce is enabled;
- decide credential eligibility and maintain credential history;
- answer support requests and investigate technical problems;
- review a custom-programme request and respond using your chosen contact method;
- protect the platform from misuse and meet applicable legal duties.
The final notice must state the legal basis relied on for each purpose in the jurisdictions where SkillNord operates.
Custom-programme requests
The custom-programme form sends your brief to a private staff review queue. It does not accept file attachments, create an account, start a paid order or publish a programme. Staff may use the details to assess the requested scope and discuss a possible build or review of material you already own.
To limit repeated submissions, the server keeps non-reversible keyed digests derived from the submitted email address and the request IP address. The form's content and contact details are not placed in public catalogue records. A final retention period for enquiries still needs operator approval and must be added to this notice.
Service providers and disclosures
Operating an online learning service can require providers for infrastructure, authentication, database and file storage, payments, email delivery, monitoring and analytics. A provider should receive only the information needed for its role and be governed by appropriate terms. The final provider list and any international-transfer safeguards are still to be confirmed.
Information may also need to be disclosed where law requires it or where necessary to protect the security and rights of learners, SkillNord or others. The applicable legal standard will depend on the confirmed operator and jurisdiction.
Public credential verification
Credential verification is intentionally public. A verification result can show the verification code, programme name, issue date, credential status and recipient name where that field is present in the public record. It does not show your email, orders, assessment answers, submissions or wider learning history.
If a future privacy setting changes which credential fields are public, this notice should be updated before the change is released.
Retention and security
Information should be retained only while it is needed for the service, security, record-keeping or legal obligations. Some records—such as transactions and issued or revoked credentials—may need to remain as historical evidence. Exact retention periods have not yet been approved and must be published before launch.
SkillNord is designed to separate public information from account-only data and to use access controls around learner records. No online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. Some requests may be limited where information must be kept for legal, security or credential-history reasons. The process, response time and supervisory authority will be added when the operator and jurisdiction are confirmed.
Questions or requests
The official privacy contact has not yet been published. Visit the contact page for the current support-channel status. Do not send identity documents or sensitive account information to an unverified address.
