Programme overview
What this programme covers
Procurement Operations starts where a new buyer does: the flow map from demand identified to supplier selected, PO issued, materials received. Chapter one covers procurement versus purchasing, the core cycle of PR, RFQ, comparison sheet, PO and delivery follow-up, the vocabulary (TCO, OTIF, MOQ, 3-way matching, landed cost, EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, GRN), every document you handle, from quotation to contract, SOW, NDA and vendor registration, and who is who across Planning, Production, Quality, Warehouse and Finance. Chapter two is the daily toolkit: ERP and supplier portals, an RFQ tracker, comparison sheets, fifteen email templates, the Procurement Control Tower worksheet — one row per transaction, PR to invoice — supplier relationship basics, and a day under pressure with Alex, a procurement specialist. Chapter three moves to the KPIs you are measured on, internal teams and advanced problem solving. Fifteen Storyline modules; a platform quiz at the end of each chapter, at 65%.

Practical outcomes
What you will be able to do
- 01The procurement flow map from demand identified to supplier selected, PO issued and materials delivered, and your position in it alongside planning, finance, import, the warehouse, quality and production
- 02Procurement against purchasing, and the core cycle to know from your first week: purchase requisition, RFQ, comparison sheet, purchase order, delivery and follow-up
- 03The working vocabulary — TCO, landed cost, MOQ, 3-way matching, approved vendor list, GRN, EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP — and every document you handle, from quotation and comparison sheet to contract, SOW, NDA, vendor registration and inspection report
- 04The daily toolkit: ERP and supplier portals, an RFQ tracker, fifteen email templates, the Excel skills the job actually needs, and the Procurement Control Tower — one row per transaction from PR through RFQ, PO and GRN to invoice
- 05Supplier relationship work: setting expectations from day one, negotiating on facts rather than price alone, documenting commitments, structured follow-up, professional escalation, and when to improve a supplier instead of replacing them
- 06The KPIs you are measured on — PR-to-PO lead time, supplier OTIF, cost saving, negotiation win rate, documentation accuracy, procurement cycle time and follow-up consistency — and a day of decisions under pressure, from a market shortage to a contract breach
