Programme overview

What this programme covers

Warehouse Operations & Management starts with the basics: why warehouses exist and the role they play in the supply chain, the main warehouse types and the work each is built for, the flow of goods and the information alongside it, who depends on the warehouse, and the trends reshaping it. Layout comes next: material-flow patterns, zoning and slotting, and space utilisation through cube and aisle optimisation. Then a controlled receiving process from arrival to record update, inspection and discrepancy handling, put-away strategies, and where cross-docking removes storage entirely. After that, racking and shelving matched to product profiles, material-handling equipment, density against accessibility, and maintenance and safety. Twelve modules across 48 hours, with an ABC Analysis Calculator, an Inventory Count Accuracy Tracker and a Warehouse KPI Dashboard to download, and a single 30-question final exam at 65%.
